Face masks / Facial coverings

Face masks / Facial coverings are now Mandatory in most public areas. We understand some patients will be anxious about wearing a mask especially if you have breathing difficulties.

Practices are reporting increases in requests from patients for letters of exemption to wearing face masks in various public settings.

In England, you must by law wear a face covering on public transport and in shops and supermarkets as of 24 July 2020.

The Government guidance suggests there is no requirement for evidence for exemption. It should be sufficient for someone to declare that they are eligible for an exemption direct with the person questioning them (eg bus driver).

Practices are therefore not required to provide letters of support for those who fall under the list of exemptions, or to those who do not fall under the list of exemptions.

Some transport providers are providing evidence of exemptions themselves, see for example this information from First Bus and Arriva.

The prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service across Kent and Medway is closing on 31st January 2022

Since the service began, more efficient technology has been developed that allows patients to order their medicines securely online via the NHS APP or other NHS login supported platforms.

Repeat Prescriptions


If you do not have access to online services you can also order your repeat prescription directly through this site. Click on the link above and complete the simple registration form. Please telephone the surgery after 48 hours to see if it is ready.

We need 48 hours notice to prepare a repeat prescription.

You may also call the surgery after 2pm each day to request your repeat prescriptions or pop into the surgery.

Alternatively if you provide a stamped self addressed envelope we will post the prescription back to you as soon as it is ready.

Travel Vaccinations

Its the holiday season and we would like to remind you that if you may need vaccinations when travelling abroad please come to the surgery and complete a travel form for the nurses to assess and then book a appointment for you to receive vaccinations if necessary.  Please do this 8 week in advance of travel.

New Telephone System

We have now been granted a new telephone system which will have a 'call waiting system' in place, record telephone conversations and monitor amount of calls answered by reception.  Most complaints we receive from our patients are regarding the telephone lines and we are now hoping that this will resolve the issue.  Work should commence within the next month or so.  More details to follow.
